I'm an open book.

I was born August 6th, 1991 in Fort Hood, TX. That makes me 23 years old, and a Leo. Some people say that makes me a leader, but I like to think I've made that choice myself.

I graduated from Skyline High School in 2009, but I'd been to several schools all throughout my High School years. I founded clubs (Music Club, Guitar Ensemble, CASE, and more), I participated in national organizations (Forging the Future of Agriculture, Honor Society), and was recognized as a student with potential by teachers, whom I regarded quite dearly. I was pushed during these years to be a leader, and I was happy for those experiences. I had a lot of personal success as a student, and enjoyed the support of many mentors, team members, and fellow students.

With this support I was able to attend and participate in many leadership training programs like LeaderSHAPE and the Global Citizenship Retreat in High School and my first years in college. The impact of those experiences, and building friendships with people from so many other cultures, has fostered a strong feeling of Global Citizenship within me, a feeling that I hold close to heart today.

If someone were to ask me why I chose to become a teacher, I would say this: "I chose to be a teacher because they shape the world. If we want a truly unified world culture, we need to start teaching with that ideal in mind."
